I’m Nasir Watson, a Philadelphia-born and raised artist from Pennsylvania. I’m regarded as a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in abstract painting and documentary photography.
Colors, texts, and layers all contribute to the expression I wish to communicate with my paintings. These characterization paintings exist as a form of avoidance or—in light of previous personal experiences—as a fever dream.
My artworks are frequently influenced by previous tragedies and ruminations of the ambivalent nature of the future.
I aim to educate and equip communities with resources to articulate and address issues on an individual and a communal level.
